As a private, college-preparatory high school, St. Bernard’s considers academic rigor an essential component of higher-learning. We encourage our students to become independent learners: to ask questions, feed their curiosity, and explore their subjects from various perspectives, using a variety of tools. 

Our expectations of our students are high, and all-encompassing. In the words of Aristotle: “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” We seek to inform the whole-person of our students, challenging them to grow intellectually as well as emotionally, socially, and spiritually. In this way, we nurture each student’s gifts where they are, guiding them to find their purpose and professional vocation in life.
