St. Bernard's was founded in 1920 by the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who were seeking a way to provide educational and professional opportunities for low-income families in the area. Their work paved the way for what is now a century-strong, independent Catholic high school for students in grades 9-12 with a proven track record for producing faith-filled and dedicated students, leaders, and public servants.
